OpenPDF is a free iOS app for creating, editing, and exporting PDFs from scans, photos, and local files.
I built OpenPDF to make common PDF workflows simple, private, and available without ads or required accounts.

What permission does OpenPDF need?
Camera access is used for document scanning. Photo and file imports use Apple's system pickers for items you choose.
Where are my PDFs and edits stored?
Created PDFs and document edits are stored locally in OpenPDF's app storage on your device.
Does removing a PDF delete my original photo or file?
No. Removing a PDF from OpenPDF removes the app's saved copy only. It does not delete original photos, Files documents, or iCloud Drive files.
Does OpenPDF upload my files?
No. PDF creation, editing, scanning, and export are handled on your device.
OpenPDF is designed to process your documents on your device. The app does not require an account and does not upload your scans, photos, files, PDFs, signatures, text inserts, or edits to developer-controlled servers.
OpenPDF uses camera access only when you choose to scan documents. Camera scans are processed into PDF pages on your device.
When you import photos or files, OpenPDF receives only the items you select through Apple's system pickers. Those imported items are used to create or edit PDFs inside the app.
Signatures, text boxes, dates, crops, rotations, and other document edits are stored locally as part of your OpenPDF documents. They are not sent to developer-controlled servers.
OpenPDF may offer optional tips or donations through Apple's in-app purchase system. Purchases are processed by Apple. OpenPDF receives purchase status from StoreKit so the app can complete the transaction.
OpenPDF does not include third-party advertising or analytics trackers. Apple services such as StoreKit, Photos picker, Files picker, and system sharing may be used when you choose those features and are governed by Apple's privacy practices.
OpenPDF does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
